Cameron (Cam) is a corporate and commercial lawyer who returned to Taranaki and joined GQ in 2020 after practicing in a national law firm based in Christchurch.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Cam spent a number of years working in Taranaki’s oil and gas industry gaining valuable experience that he now uses when considering advice for his clients.
Cam’s experience in corporate and commercial areas include company start-ups, energy, corporate governance and advisory, mergers and acquisitions, commercial leasing and commercial contracts.
Cam prides himself on his attention to detail and his ability to convert complex legal issues into pragmatic advice.
Cam enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He considers himself a foodie and enjoys exploring the menu of local cafés and restaurants.
He also likes to balance the food and drink with keeping active and as much golf as he can fit in to his spare time.

Rochelle is a lawyer in the Corporate and Commercial Team. Rochelle joined Govett Quilliam after over five years at a law firm in Wellington where she worked as a law clerk and lawyer.
Rochelle's work focuses on commercial structures and relationships, company law, corporate advisory, and governance advice. She undertakes commercial property transactions, drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, selling and purchasing businesses, shareholder disputes, and other matters. Rochelle’s broad experience in corporate and commercial law, employment law, privacy, and health and safety gives her a unique overview from which to provide thorough and pragmatic advice.
Rochelle also has several years’ experience specialising in employment law, health and safety, human rights, and privacy. She has advised small and large organisations, as well as individuals, on restructures and change management processes, disciplinary investigations, performance management, and has conducted workplace investigations. She has appeared in the Employment Relations Authority and taken complaints to the Human Rights Commission. Rochelle was previously a member of the Employment Law Committee of the Wellington Law Society.
Rochelle is on the board of Sport Taranaki and also serves on Sport Taranaki’s Audit and Risk Committee. She is passionate about the role of sport and exercise in the development of young people and is interested in people’s overall well-being; including mental health, nutrition, exercise, and being connected into the community.
Rochelle loves spending time outdoors in beautiful Taranaki, particularly tramping, running, and going to the beach. She also enjoys reading novels (especially classics), spending time with her husband, and cooking healthy food.

Alice has been a Partner of Govett Quilliam since 2014 and has expertise in property, corporate and commercial law. Alice has used her expertise to provide specialist in-house support to several Oil & Gas Corporates. Now she co-leads the Corporate and Commercial Team. Alice, together with her team, works hard to provide each client with a bespoke legal experience.
Alice has a broad range of corporate, commercial and property law experience. She has worked with all manner of clients from a national infrastructure company, oil and gas corporates, property developers and farmers through to local entrepreneurs and business owners and residential home buyers and sellers. She has developed particular expertise in property rights and interests, including land access agreements, easement agreements, commercial leases, subdivisions, and residential and commercial sales and purchases. In acting for you, Alice focuses on getting to know you and your business. She strongly believes that developing a good working relationship with her clients is first and foremost.
Alice enjoys spending her spare time with her husband, her two young children, and her friends. She appreciates good food and keeps fit by running. Alice is a board member of the Taranaki Hockey Federation.

Paul has been a partner of Govett Quilliam since 1989 and has specific expertise in commercial law and in the oil and gas sector.
Paul has acted for large corporates regionally, nationally and internationally and has developed a particular expertise in the energy sector, providing legal support and advice to oil and gas companies in New Zealand, Australia and Indonesia.
Paul has provided primary legal support for Port Taranaki, the Taranaki District Health Board and the Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki for over 20 years. He is also a member of the New Zealand Chapter of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators.

Paul is an Honorary Life Member of the Taranaki Cancer Society, having been the President for a number of years and a former Chairman of the Relay for Life Committee. Paul is a former President of Taranaki Marriage Guidance (now Relationship Services) and was a Trustee of the Taranaki Velodrome Trust, which has brought to Taranaki a state of the art Cycle Park incorporating a road circuit and velodrome.
Paul enjoys cycling, golf, going to the gym and spending time with family.

Amalie joined GQ in April 2021. Her areas of expertise include immigration, corporate/commercial and Te Tira Hau Ture (Māori Legal Services).
Amalie has experience in immigration, property and commercial law. Amalie is able to offer guidance and assistance on a range of immigration matters, including residence applications for the skilled migrant, family, and business and investor categories as well as work, study and visitor temporary entry applications. Her time spent working in Hong Kong as a Paralegal in the legal/finance professional development industry prior to returning to New Plymouth gives her personal insight and understanding which she brings to her Immigration Law practice.
In the area of property law, Amalie’s experience includes contractual review, commercial leases, all aspects of conveyancing including build contract review. Within commercial law, this includes contract review and advice, commercial leases, sale and purchase of businesses, shareholders’ agreements, and refinancing.
Amalie thoroughly enjoys legal research and is proud of her Samoan heritage. During her studies (Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics and History), she was involved with the Pacific Island Students’ Association and local Samoan Advisory Council. This understanding and passion for helping others shows through her compassionate nature and the relationships she builds with her clients.
Amalie has a keen interest and general experience in Māori Land Law matters from her time spent at the Ngāi Tahu Māori Law Centre in Dunedin while undertaking her Masters in Peace and Conflict Studies. She has a strong interest other cultures, languages and customs and is also passionate about legal matters that affect women and indigenous peoples.
Amalie was born and raised in Taranaki and feels privileged to return to her hometown to practice law after being away for several years. She's a budding multi-sporter and enjoys the outdoors, particularly making the most of our Taranaki Maunga and the surf. You will most likely catch her reading, spending time with whānau and friends or on an adventure mission.
