Catherine has a depth of experience in the rural sector having been the in-house lawyer for Westland Dairy Company in Hokitika before starting at Govett Quilliam. She advisies on a broad range of farming related legal issues, including the sale and purchase of farms, leases, shareholders agreements and succession planning.
In the commercial area, Catherine has acted for many small businesses on matters including terms of trade, commercial leases and sale and purchases. In relation to her private clients, Catherine has been involved with asset protection and trusts matters. She also has extensive experience in conveyancing.
Catherine acts for non-profit organisations and charitable trusts in the Taranaki region.
Outside of Govett Quilliam
Catherine is the mother of 4 young children which keeps her very busy! She manages and coaches a variety of sports teams which her children are involved with including tennis, miniball and touch rugby. She is also an active member of the St Pius X Home & School committee.
When she has some time to herself she loves a good book. She also enjoys playing netball and has recently discovered the joys of Gaelic football.
