Michyla is passionate about providing understandable legal advice to help others. This has been the big drive to practice family law for the last several years. Michyla’s focus has shifted to estate planning and administration, and asset protection. Michyla has a range of experience in family matters, drafting Enduring Powers of Attorneys, Wills, and Estate and Trust documents.
Michyla’s background in litigation and family law has meant that she is aware of the importance of ensuring your personal and/or trust affairs are looked after. Michyla prides herself on providing pragmatic and empathetic advice.
Outside of Govett Quilliam
Michyla is Taranaki-born and bred, and loves raising her three children with her husband so close to the mountain and the sea. In her spare time, you can find Michyla on the sidelines of basketball and rugby games, motocross events and swimming lessons. You might also spot her playing a bit of indoor netball herself. Michyla is an avid arts and crafts kind of girl who likes to scrapbook photos for safekeeping. Overall, spending quality time with her whanau and friends is where Michyla is most at home.
