The Opportunity
The role involves providing comprehensive legal advice and support to a wide-ranging portfolio of clients, across diverse corporate and commercial matters with a property focus. There is the opportunity to further build on your experience or specialise your legal expertise and potential to provide legal opinions in academic work.
You’ll be exposed to a broad spectrum of work, including:
- Property Expert: guiding our clients through the complexities of buying, selling, leasing properties, and establishing regulating rights to property, ensuring a smooth and successful process
- Contract Specialist: draft, review and refine contracts that safeguard our clients' interests
- Land Transfer: draft Land Transfer documents, including leases, easements, land covenants, and transfers
- Land Use and Zoning Professional: address land use, zoning, and development issues to promote business opportunities within our regional landscapes
- Client Advocate: serve as a trusted advisor to our corporate and commercial clients, providing expert guidance and innovative solutions tailored to specific needs
About You
- A qualified property lawyer with four or more years of experience
- An excellent communicator who can simplify complex legal concepts and provide clear, concise advice
- Personable and approachable: strong client relationships are essential and one of the foundations of the success of Govett Quilliam
- Confident and proactive - we want someone who demonstrates initiative, brings innovation and thinks outside the box, and isn’t afraid to tackle complex legal challenges head-on
