We are always keen to nurture new talent and are pleased to be able to offer Summer Law Clerk roles.
An ideal stepping stone to a permanent role at GQ, the Summer Law Clerk is a great way to explore areas of law that interest you, and to get to know the GQ team and our clients.
Ideally, you should already have completed your third year studying Law and be available for a period of 1-3 months, starting in December. You will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic, forward-thinking team, carrying out research and supporting lawyers in their day-to-day work.

Appointments will be made by 31 July at the latest each year, but we recommend you apply as early as possible.
I had an excellent 9 weeks as a Summer Clerk at GQ. The firm was incredibly welcoming, allowing me to explore areas of the law from Litigation and Employment to Family and Relationship Property matters. The open-plan layout of the firm enabled me to work alongside Partners, Associates, Lawyers, and Legal Support, ensuring I was encouraged and supported in my work. I look forward to transferring the skills I learnt this summer to my final year of tertiary studies
