Annie initially joined the Govett Quilliam team in June 2020 after completing her law degree at the University of Auckland. She worked predominantly in corporate, commercial and trusts law for over 2 years before heading off to spend some time overseas.
After a recent move back to New Zealand, she is back at GQ as of 2024, and works within our corporate and commercial teams.
Annie's areas of specialisation lie in:
- Commercial transactions, including sales and purchases;
- Company restructuring and shareholder agreements;
- Complex succession planning;
- Energy regulation and compliance.
Annie loves the challenge of legal practice and is passionate about the way in which we can use technological advancements to create efficiencies both for legal practice and for clients’ businesses.
Outside of Govett Quilliam
Being born in Wales and growing up in the Bay of Islands, Annie loves to travel and spends a lot of her free time outdoors either in or around the ocean. She is an avid ocean swimmer and team’s sports enthusiast.
Annie has been a longstanding volunteer lawyer at the Citizens Advice Bureau and the Secretary of the Taranaki Young Professionals, she enjoys giving back to her community where possible.
